After Bajaj Auto launched the world’s first CNG motorcycle, the Freedom 125, its closest rival TVS Motor Company plans to be the first ground-up CNG scooter manufacturer worldwide.
TVS Jupiter CNG launch, engine details
TVS Motor Company has been working on various alternate fuel technologies over the years, and, as our sister publication Autocar Professional has learnt, it has already developed a CNG option. So, the company will now use that powertrain in its Jupiter scooter.
As per reports, the TVS Jupiter 125 CNG project is internally referred to as 'U740'. Technical details are still unclear, but the scooter could get a small petrol tank as a range extender in addition to a CNG tank.
BAJAJ FREEDOM 125 CNG:
Engine Specification is 125CC, Under Seat 2Kg CNG Tank, 2L Petrol Tank. The Range of CNG Bike is 330kms. The total power output when combined with the 125 cc air-cooled engine stands at 9.5 PS and 9.7 Nm of torque etc.,
