WHAT'S NEW INFO

This is fantastic base price IMHO even though ‘conditions apply’

3 variants - You, Plus and Max

1.2L normal petrol — 82PS & 115Nm

1.2L turbo petrol — 110Ps & 190/205NM

The Basalt shares its underpinnings with the C3 Aircross. While its fascia is quite similar to the SUV, the biggest changes are in profile and at the rear. It gets a unique sloping roofline, new alloy wheels, redesigned LED tail-lamps, and a chunky dual-tone rear bumper.

POWERTRAIN:

Basalt will draw its power via a 1.2 liter turbo petrol engine making 110 hp power, mated to a 6 speed MT (190 Nm) and 6 speed AT (205 Nm).

The five-seater features a striking piano black front grille adorned with the Chevron logo, complemented by 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels.

EXTERIOR:

Its exterior design includes LED projector headlamps, LED tail lamps with a 3D effect, and a large greenhouse, which is accentuated by a coupe-like roofline. Additionally, it boasts high approach and departure angles. The dimensions of the vehicle measure 4,352 mm in length, 1,765 mm in width, and 1,593 mm in height.

On the inside, the Basalt carries over the dashboard from the C3 Aircross and gets contoured rear headrests. Adjustable thigh support for the rear seats is a segment-first feature, though. The Basalt has a 470-litre boot capacity.

COLOURS:

The Basalt is available in five monotone colour options – Polar White, Steel Grey, Platinum Grey, Cosmo Blue and Garnet Red. The white and red paint options also get a contrast black roof.
