NEW NISSAN MAGNITE LAUNCHED RS.5.99 LAKHS. BUT NO MECHINCAL UPDATE

Nissan Magnite has finally launched Magnite facelift in India. This is the first time Nissan has updated its sub 4m  SUV since its launch in 2020.

Also, the first time Nissan has formulated an LHD Nissan Magnite for export markets. This  vehicle had created a lot of waves in the market owing to its affordable packaging, which is still the main USP of Magnite facelift.

This mid-life refresh brings some styling updates and also introduces a couple of new features. However, no mechanical changes have been made to the compact SUV.

First 10,000 Deliveries

These prices are, however, introductory and will apply to the first 10,000 deliveries, which commence tomorrow.

The outgoing Nissan Magnite, despite being launched back in 2020, didn’t look outdated. So Nissan hasn’t tinkered with the design all that much.

The pointy headlights are still very much pointy, the big grille is now bigger with a new honeycomb pattern and is flanked by chunky chrome inserts, and the L-shaped DRLs are still similar.

But those headlights now have new elements inside, and the bumper has been tweaked to give it a chunkier and fresher look. Also, the placement of the fog lamps.

The tail light cluster itself is identical, but like the headlights, it gets new elements with an H-shaped motif. Nissan has also slightly tweaked the bumper, which rounds up the 2024 Nissan Magnite’s modest exterior design changes.

The profile remains largely unchanged, but it gets new 16-inch alloy wheels. At the rear, the tail lamps get new M SHAPE LED signatures, with intricate detailing. It also gets a new Sunrise Cooper colour shade.

Inside the cabin, the all-black theme of the pre-facelift Magnite has been replaced with a dual-tone copper and black layout for the dashboard, door pads, and seat upholstery.

INTERIOR

The previous black and silver finish on the steering wheel has made way for a full black unit. It also gets new textured panels on the door pads, dual-tone leatherette upholstery, and new four-colour ambient lighting on the dashboard and door pads.

New Nissan Magnite facelift gets a Sunrise Copper Orange interior theme which looks a lot more livelier with many hexagonal patterns all around.

Overall layout of the dashboard and centre console remains the same with a Lamborghini-inspired design seen with AC vents.

Steering wheel gets blackened accents with new Magnite. New Nissan Magnite Facelift Interiors Features from the pre-facelift vehicle like 8-inch touchscreen infotainment with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, keyless entry, push-button start, a 7-inch TFT instrument cluster, cruise control, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, front and rear armrest, adjustable headrests, continue as they were.

New Nissan Magnite Facelift Interiors New features include automatic headlights, auto-dimming IRVM with a bezel-less design, new key fob, remote start feature that also turns on AC automatically, 360-degree surround view, Type-C ports, cluster ionizer and air purifier, auto door lock and unlock based on proximity, 4-colour ambient lighting, connected tech, 6 airbags for the first time and more.

The 6 airbags are also standard across the range. Leatherette on dashboard and door panels with stitches is a nice touch, which is not seen in this segment.

NO POWERTRAIN CHANGES

No changes in this department. The 2024 Nissan Magnite facelift soldiers on with its existing 72 PS 1-litre NA petrol and 100 PS 1-litre turbo-petrol engines. The NA petrol can be had with 5-speed MT or a 5-speed AMT, while the latter can be paired with a 5-speed MT or a CVT gearbox.

The 1-litre turbo-petrol engine has a claimed fuel efficiency of 20kmpl with the manual and 17.4kmpl with the CVT.
