Hyundai has launched the Exter CNG with a new dual-cylinder technology from Rs 8.50 lakh onwards.
Exter is the first Hyundai CNG to receive the dual-cylinder tech.
The specs of the Exter’s CNG powertrain remain unchanged. The 1.2-litre NA petrol engine is paired with CNG, which puts out an output of 69PS and 95.2Nm in CNG mode. It is available with a 5-speed manual transmission only and has a fuel efficiency of 27.1 km/kg.
The Exter CNG is the first car in Hyundai’s CNG line-up to receive the dual-cylinder setup. The Grand i10 Nios CNG and the Aura CNG are expected to receive a similar setup soon.
A similar dual cylinder CNG setup is also seen on the Tata Altroz, Tiago, Tigor, as well as Exter's direct rival Punch.
