Tata Motors has finally showcased a new version of its Avinya at the 2025 Auto Expo. For 2025, the Avinya has debuted as an SUV concept with new interior and exterior design.
The Avinya concept is based on a structure that can accommodate multiple body styles which leads to more creativity and freedom in the way the car gets designed. It boasts futuristic and modern design elements that makes it look like a concept straight out of 2050!
The cabin of the Avinya looks minimalistic and luxurious. With luxury carmakers moving towards being environment conscious, Tata will also be introducing eco-friendly materials at all places. The lighter shade of colour scheme looks inviting and airy, and you also get a familiar Tata design on the steering wheel.
The production-spec models based on the Avinya concept are expected to pack a lot of features, as seen with other production-spec cars of the carmakers. Features like dual 12.3-inch display (one for the instrumentation and another for infotainment), a panoramic sunroof, a wireless phone charger and multi-zone auto AC. EV-specific features like vehicle-to-load (V2L) and vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) are also expected to be offered.
The safety suite is also expected to be robust with at least 6 airbags (as standard), 360-degree camera and some advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) features like adaptive cruise control and lane keep assist. Tata Motors has claimed that they have built the platform that will be capable of scoring a 5-star Euro NCAP crash safety rating.
There are no large screens anywhere but simple and sleek displays, and cameras on the sides. However, you get a screen on the steering wheel which acts as the main screen for the driver and can control the various functions using voice commands. Furthermore, you get plenty of speakers with some of them being located in the headrest.
Based on the Gen3 platform which is dedicated for EVs,the Avinya will purely be a battery-powered vehicle. The platform is capable of hosting multiple drivetrains, including rear-wheel drive, all-wheel drive, and multiple types of battery packs.
If it makes into production, the Avinya will likely boast a minimum real-world range of around 500km.
