Hero MotoCorp has launched its upcoming maxi scooter, the Xoom 160 in India. The maxi scooter was first unveiled at EICMA 2023, and now it has finally come to India. The Xoom 160 is offered at a price of Rs 1.48 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Xoom 160 debuts a new liquid-cooled, 156cc, single-cylinder motor which produces 14hp and 13.7Nm. The Xoom 160 gets features like keyless ignition, a fully digital dash, remote seat opening and split-LED headlights. It weighs 141 kg, which is a significant 15 kilos heavier than the Aerox 155. Just like the Aerox, the Xoom 160 also runs on 14-inch wheels at both ends.
The Xoom 160 features muscular bodywork and a tall stance. It incorporates a proper spine at the centre, staying true to the design language of a maxi-scooter. Taking inspiration from an ADV, the Xoom 160 boasts a tall build. Its front profile looks sharp and houses a split LED headlight topped by a transparent visor.
Features wise, the Xoom 160 has a LCD instrument console. The console offers smartphone connectivity and related features such as call/SMS alerts and turn-by-turn navigation. The scooter will also offer keyless ignition, which is a really nice addition and adds a bit of premium feel overall.
