Suzuki Motorcycle India has unveiled its first electric scooter for the Indian market in the form of the e-Access.
The electric scooter comes with a unique design inspired by its ICE counterpart. The EV gets an LED headlamp complemented by an apron with a unique design housing the turn indicators on either side of the Suzuki badge.
The sides of the scooter have a smooth minimalistic design with a long single-piece seat. It also gets raised nameplates with metallic finish with chrome S emblem. All of this is complemented by the presence of alloy wheels.
Powering the Suzuki e-Access is a fixed 3.07kWh LFP battery and the company claims a 95km IDC range. This battery pack powers a swingarm-mounted motor making 4.1kW and 15Nm propelling the e-Access to a 71kph claimed top speed.
To make it on par with competition, the brand has loaded the electric scooter with features. It comes with a colour TFT LCD screen which enables smartphone connectivity through Suzuki Ride Connect-E App. There are three ride modes as well Eco, Ride A, and Ride B-along with a reverse mode. It also gets a multi-function switch with keyless function.
Suzuki deciding to go for a fixed battery pack has helped quite a bit in increasing the underseat storage that the scooter has on offer. This has made the scooter a lot more capable to handle family needs.
The Suzuki e-Access could be launched sometime in 2025. It is expected to be priced at around the Rs 1.20 lakh to Rs 1.40 lakh (ex-showroom) mark.
